Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
What Is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, is a practical, evidence-based approach that focuses on the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Often, when we feel anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed, we are caught in patterns of thinking that reinforce distress and make it difficult to move forward.
CBT helps identify those patterns and gently challenge them. Together, we look at how certain thoughts influence how you feel and how you respond, and we work to develop more balanced, realistic ways of thinking and coping. Over time, this can reduce anxiety, lift mood, improve confidence, and create a greater sense of control.
CBT is structured and goal-oriented, but it is also collaborative. It is not about “positive thinking.” It is about understanding how your mind works and learning tools that help you respond to challenges in healthier, more effective ways. Many people appreciate CBT because it offers concrete strategies they can use both inside and outside of sessions.
