Psychodynamic Therapy

What Is Psychodynamic Therapy?

Psychodynamic therapy is a depth-oriented approach that focuses on understanding the patterns and experiences that shape how you feel, relate, and respond to the world. Sometimes the struggles we face today are influenced by earlier relationships, unspoken expectations, or long-held beliefs about ourselves and others.

In psychodynamic work, we gently explore these patterns with curiosity and care. Together, we look at recurring themes in your relationships, emotional reactions that feel disproportionate, or ways you may feel stuck. By bringing awareness to what has been operating outside of conscious awareness, you gain greater freedom to respond differently.

This approach is not about dwelling on the past for its own sake. It is about understanding how your history has shaped you, so you can make more intentional choices in the present. Many people find that psychodynamic therapy leads to deeper self-understanding, stronger relationships, and lasting emotional growth.
