How I approach my work
In my practice, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and psychodynamic therapy are not separate tracks but complementary parts of the same process. CBT offers practical tools to help you manage distress and build momentum, while psychodynamic work helps us understand the deeper patterns and experiences that shape how you feel and respond. Together, this integration allows us to address what feels urgent in the present while also building lasting insight and meaningful change over time.
“Working with Dr. Schlesinger has been one of the most meaningful investments I’ve made in myself. I came in feeling overwhelmed and stuck in patterns I didn’t fully understand. From our first session, I felt heard and supported.
She helped me develop practical tools to manage my anxiety, while also guiding me to explore the deeper dynamics that were shaping my relationships and self-doubt. Over time, I’ve gained not only relief from symptoms, but a stronger sense of confidence and clarity. I’m incredibly grateful for the steady, thoughtful care she provides.”
